For the Innovire Boat CAD Event, Innovire produced an exceptional crash course YouTube video on boats and the factors that affect boat design. Afterwards, we had an amazing workshop using Google Meets, where youth were able to get hands-on experience in the field of CAD and 3D printing through an online platform called OnShape. Following this, we then held a competition where youth designed 3D models of boats that were visually appealing and structurally well-designed. We had some amazing submissions and were able to inspire and excite many youth about the technology of CAD and 3D printing!
This was a successful 2-day event where over 30 students were able to get hands-on experience exploring the world of app development through a no-code phone-app design software called Thunkable. They learned and practiced implementing modern phone app design features into their projects, including styling, managing variables, creating responsive animations, and more. At the end of the workshop, they also had the chance to use their creative and innovative thinking skills and apply everything they had learned to create an app that explored an animal-related issue in the global community.
During the pandemic, we held an amazing workshop using Google Meets, where youth were able to get hands-on experience in the field of CAD and 3D printing through an online platform called TinkerCAD. Following this, we held a holiday decor CAD competition and the best designs were auctioned, helping us raise $300 for COVID-19 relief. We had some amazing submissions and were able to inspire and excite many youth about the technology of CAD and 3D printing.
With over 350 students attending, we had incredible people - both youth and adults - come in from cool, innovative companies & organizations (Google, MetaVRse, TKS, etc.) to share their journeys.
